I'm a certified editor specializing in narrative nonfiction, memoir, literary fiction, and corporate communications. I work with novice and experienced writers alike. Before starting my freelance editing business, I worked as a news reporter and a freelance writer for twenty years.

I hold Certificate in Editing from the University of Chicago. This post-bachelor professional certificate program is full of hands-on experience with varying levels of editing on real manuscripts. I actively participate in the editing community as a board member of the University of Chicago Professional Development Certificate Program, and a member of ACES: the Society for Editing, the Editorial Freelancers Association, and the Northwest Editors Guild.
